In 1998 Dale and Cathy Coe had an idea to make some wood crafts out of barn siding. For some reason, people liked what they made. They, along with Cathy’s mother, Dee signed up to rent a small space at the soon to open Craft Emporium on Route 30 near Wooster, Ohio. They did well enough to expand to a larger space. Soon they received a letter from a store owner in Berlin who was interested in renting them space at her store called Harvest Moon. Cathy & Dale, her mom, Dee and a friend Joan rented a room in the back of the store to offer their crafts. Joan did floral arrangements, Dee made Amish dolls and Dale & Cathy made their crafts using floral & barn siding. They all did very well. Soon, a small business down the street was put up for sale; called “Tin Heart” Dale and Cathy fell in love with the 100 year old little house that was leased with the business and went ahead and purchased the “Tin Heart”. The business grew and they utilized every nook and cranny. They had left Harvest Moon in 2000 when they purchased the little store down the street. They named their newly purchased store “Ye Olde Family Treasures: and put lots of TLC into the little shop.
